Activity Monitoring Report
This deliverable reviews the state-of-the-art of activity monitoring of elderly people for assisting independent living.
The goal of activity monitoring systems is to prevent and manage diseases, reducing people's dependence on health care services. Monitoring quantifies the level of people's activity and determines what tasks the person is doing. This data can be used to detect emerging physical and mental health problems. The deliverable discusses different kinds of systems, sensors and commercial products used for activity monitoring.
