Open-M3

'Open-M3' is an open source smart environment with commercial off-the-shelf devices. Information from wireless sensor motes transferred to mobile devices representing various vendors and platforms (iPhone, Symbian S60, Maemo Linux). Smart space broker of the demo is implemented in a wireless access point.

The user of this application may place wireless sensor motes within the range of the wireless sensor network gateway device (~50 meters). The motes include sensors for air pressure, humidity, temperature and luminosity. This information is readable from the mobile terminals, after the terminals join the WLAN network provided by the access point running the Smart-M3 information broker.
