Feedback System Trial in Multi-User Environment
Collecting customer feedback is essential to businesses' growth, regardless of their size. Customer feedback helps businesses understand their customers' likes and dislikes, which allows them to come up with ways to improve the services, systems or processes they offer. Traditional ways of collecting customer feedback, such as paper and email surveys, require time and effort from the respondents as well as from the company conducting the survey. The respondents’ time and effort can be likened to a currency which they are only willing to spend if they see themselves benefiting. In many cases the perceived benefit is not enough to overcome the effort which often leads to rejection of participation.
In our ongoing research we have created a scalable touch screen based feedback system, which allows effortless and rapid way for collecting feedback in multi-user environments. With the data acquired via feedback system, the services of these environments can be adjusted in real time to match better for its users’ preferences and needs. Since beginning of the development we have piloted the feedback system in different environments as a stand-alone system as well as embedded to existing software. The results acquired from the pilots are promising and will be published later this year.
